Stakeholder Management for IT Leaders: Getting Work Done Through People Who Don't Report to You

This session is built around a challenge every IT leader eventually runs into:

How do I get work done when the people who can slow it down, block it, reshape it, or bless it don't report to me?

Most technology initiatives don't stall because of the technology. They stall because priorities compete, trust hasn't been built, expectations aren't aligned, or key conversations happen too late. Success depends as much on understanding people as it does on understanding systems.

We'll focus on how to identify the stakeholders who matter most, understand what they're trying to accomplish, anticipate where friction is likely to emerge, communicate with different audiences, and have the conversations that keep work moving.
